Intern or Entry Level Position

We are not actively seeking additional staff at this time. However if you feel your interests and skills qualify you to contribute to R. W. Thorpe & Associates, we would be happy to review your resume. An outline of the qualifications we generally seek are listed below.


Prefer BS Graduate or Graduate Student with Degree/Experience in Real Estate/Planning with strong GIS Skills (Intern/Entry Level to 4+ Years Experience). Growth Potential for professional with Degree/Experience in Planning, Real Estate, or Landscape Design/Landscape Architecture. Experience or interest in Landscape Architecture or Real Estate Economics a plus. Bookkeeping (QuickBooks, 8-10 hours per week) is another skill that can be utilized.


Skills required:

GIS, Graphics skills for Project Support - Feasibility/Highest & Best Use Studies, Master Plans, Permits, utilizing MS Office and ArcGIS, VectorWorks, AutoCAD, PhotoShop, etc. Optional: Bookkeeping - (Quickbooks) 8-10 hours/week.

Desirable Skills:

  • Computer Graphics (Photoshop) and GIS for maps and presentations.

  • Feasibility/Highest & Best Use Studies, Master Plans, Permitting

  • Landscape Design/Landscape Architecture

  • Familiarity with VectorWorks for MacIntosh

  • QuickBooks for accounting support.
